Z2O exists so that regulated organisations in emerging markets can adopt AI with governance that stands up to boards, auditors and regulators — starting with fintech in Nigeria. We serve fintechs of every kind — from payments to lending to identity — and other regulated organisations adopting AI.
Our mission
Trustworthy AI, made practical
Frameworks such as the NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001 set the bar for trustworthy AI. Our work is to turn them into assessments, evidence and improvement plans that a regulated organisation can actually act on — localised to what the CBN and the NDPA require.
Z2O is a governance and assurance partner. We assess AI governance maturity, review controls and evidence, test AI systems, help close the gaps, and produce audit-ready governance reports and evidence packs. We do not issue legal opinions, certifications or regulatory approvals — and we never claim to.
The Z2O principle

AI and structured tooling support the work behind every engagement — they make it faster and more consistent. But no finding, score or recommendation reaches a client until a Z2O consultant has reviewed and approved it. You act only on consultant-approved outputs. That principle defines how we work, and it is not negotiable.

Across payments, lending, digital banking, wealth, remittances, insurtech, identity and digital assets, AI now makes decisions that matter. Governance keeps those decisions accurate, fair and defensible.
A regulatory moment
The CBN's AML rules and the NDPA apply today, and the NITDA AI Bill is expected in 2026. Compliance roadmaps were due June 2026, deployment windows run 18 to 24 months, and AML models must be validated at least annually for accuracy and bias.
